Heathland

Britain has an abundance of Heathland courses, many in the southern counties of England and Wales, where about 20% of the world's total coverage of lowland heath is found. Originally created when early farming communities cleared woodlands, these heaths are characterised by heather, gorse, and bracken, dotted with trees such as Scots pine and silver birch.
